Hamilton Bulldogs

Austin, TX - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Texas Stars 3-0 on Saturday night in Texas. The Bulldogs now lead the series 3-2. David Desharnais had a goal and an assist while Curtis Sanford stopped all 23 shots he faced.     

The Bulldogs opened the game's scoring on the power play at 13:22 of the first frame. David Desharnais dished the puck to Shawn Belle, who fired a shot towards the net. The puck came loose and onto the stick of Ryan Russell, who tapped a shot past the glove of Texas starting goaltender Matt Climie.

The 'Dogs took a 2-0 lead at 3:37 of the second stanza. Alex Henry blasted a shot from the blue line that was stopped by Climie. The rebound bounced onto the stick of Mike Glumac, who was positioned in the slot. Glumac rifled a shot past Climie and into the back of the net. Desharnais scored Hamilton's third goal at 15:33. Shawn Belle sent a pass up the middle of the ice to Aaron Palushaj, who gave the puck to Desharnais. Desharnais dangled past a Texas defender before snapping a shot over the left shoulder of Climie and into the top of the net.  

The Bulldogs will return to Copps Coliseum for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at 7:30 p.m. on May 24^th. The game will be shown on Cable 14.
