Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Manitoba Moose 4-2 in Game 2 of the North Division Final to take a 2-0 series lead. Gabriel Dumont recorded two goals including the game-winner while Ryan White played his first playoff game with the ‘Dogs since being assigned from Montreal.

The Moose opened the scoring at 2:43 of the first period. Chris Tanev held the puck at the blueline before firing a wrist shot towards the net. Kevin Clark was positioned in front of the net and tipped the puck over the right shoulder of Hamilton starting goaltender Drew MacIntyre.

The Bulldogs tied the game 1-1 at 9:08 of the first stanza with a power-play marker. While positioned in the left corner, Nigel Dawes sent the puck to the point, where Mathieu Carle was positioned. Carle released a wrist shot that sailed through traffic and over the blocker of Manitoba starting goaltender Eddie Lack.

The ‘Dogs took the lead at 14:44 of the second stanza. Andreas Engqvist carried the puck through the slot before spinning around and firing a shot on the net. The rebound bounced out to Ryan Russell, who slid the puck under the glove of Lack and across the goal line.

Hamilton took a 3-1 lead at 4:22 of the final frame. Ryan White received the puck from Andrew Conboy while behind the net. White fed the puck to the front of the net, where Gabriel Dumont one-timed a shot over the glove of Lack. Dumont added his second goal, an empty net tally, at 19:11.

Manitoba added a goal at 19:30 when Tanev beat MacIntyre with a shot but it was not enough as the Bulldogs held on for the win.
