BULLDOGS RELEASE 2010-2011 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs President and Governor Glenn Stanford announced today the team's 80-game 2010-2011 regular season schedule.  The 'Dogs will open their 15th American Hockey League campaign at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York on Friday, October 15th versus the Americans. The Bulldogs will then return to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario for their 2010-2011 home opener on Saturday, October 16th versus their archrival the Toronto Marlies.

The 'Dogs will play three games in NHL arenas in the 2010-2011 season. On Friday, November 5th, the Hamilton Bulldogs will take to the ice at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, home of their National Hockey League affiliate, the Canadiens, where they will host the Binghamton Senators.  The two teams will also meet on November 26th at Scotiabank Place in Kanata, Ontario, home of Binghamton's NHL affiliate, the Ottawa Senators. The 'Dogs will return to the home of the Habs on Friday, February 25th, when they will host the Adirondack Phantoms.  The games at Bell Centre will mark the fifth and sixth times in franchise history that Hamilton will have played a regular season home game in their NHL affiliate's arena.

During the 2010-2011 regular season, the 'Dogs will play 18 different opponents.  Of the 80 games on Hamilton's regular season schedule, 50 are against North Division rivals.  The Bulldogs will take on the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) and the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) 10 times, the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames), Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) and the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) eight times each and the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) six times.

Hamilton will also combat all eight teams in the Western Conference's West Division.  The Bulldogs will oppose the Chicago Wolves (AHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers) four times and the Houston Aeros (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild), Milwaukee Admirals (AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators), Peoria Rivermen (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues), the expansion Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers), San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes) Rockford IceHogs (AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks) and the Texas Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) two times a piece.

The 'Dogs will also clash with four Eastern Conference squads.  Hamilton will play three East Division teams including the Adirondack Phantoms (AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers) and Syracuse Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks) four times and the Binghamton Senators (AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators) two times.  In addition, Hamilton will also battle the Atlantic Division's Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers) two times.

Of the club's 40 home games, 38 will be held at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario and two will take place at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.  21 of the Bulldogs' home games will take place on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with the remaining 19 games scheduled on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).  The Bulldogs will play nine home games on Saturdays, eight on Tuesdays, eight on Wednesdays, seven on Fridays, five on Sundays, two on Thursdays and one on a Monday.  All Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday home games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. (with the exception of November 5th - 7:30 p.m., January 26th - 11:00 a.m., February 21st - 2:00 p.m. and February 25th - 7:30 p.m.). All Saturday home games are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (with the exception of February 5th). There are five games on Sunday, two will be played at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on C.B.C. (October 24th and December 12th), while the remaining three will be played at 4:00 p.m. (November 14th, February 27th and March 13th).

Hamilton's longest home stand during the 2010-2011 season will begin on Sunday, October 24th and end on Friday, November 5th* with the Bulldogs playing six games in 13 days (* - at Bell Centre - Montreal, Quebec). The team's longest road trip will commence on Wednesday, March 16th and conclude on Sunday, March 26th with the 'Dogs playing six games in 12 days.
