BULLDOGS SET TO FACE 18 TEAMS IN 2010-2011

‘Dogs look to defend North Division title

HAMILTON, ON. - Hamilton Bulldogs President and Governor Glenn Stanford announced today the hockey club's schedule format for the 2010-2011 American Hockey League season.

The Bulldogs will play 68 of their regular season games against Western Conference opponents (50 games versus North Division teams and 18 games versus West Division teams) and 12 games against Eastern Conference opponents (10 versus East Division teams and two versus Atlantic Division teams).

The 'Dogs will defend their North Division title as they battle their arch-rival Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) and the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) 10 times, the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames), Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) and Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) eight times and the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) six times. Hamilton will also play every team in the West Division as they meet the Chicago Wolves (AHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers) four times and the Houston Aeros (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild), Milwaukee Admirals (AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators), Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers), Peoria Rivermen (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues), Rockford IceHogs (AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks), San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes) and Texas Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) twice.

The Bulldogs will play three teams from the East Division including the Adirondack Phantoms (AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers) and Syracuse Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks) for four games and the Binghamton Senators (AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators) twice. The 'Dogs will also play the Atlantic Division's Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers) for two games.
