HAMILTON, ON - Aaron Palushaj and Dany Masse recorded one goal and one assist each to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals.
It took twenty-one minutes and four seconds, but the Bulldogs were first to score. Brian Willsie's point shot sailed past Milwaukee Admirals goaltender Jeremy Smith to give the ‘Dogs a 1-0 power play lead. Then, at 6:25 into the second period, a cross-crease pass by Kyle Wilson led to a goal by Chris Mueller to tie the game at 1. Dany Masse got the go-ahead goal on a cross-slot pass from Ian Schultz at 14:49. Just over two minutes later, Aaron Palushaj scored his twelfth of the season, assisted by Andreas Engqvist and Zack FitzGerald, to make it 3-1 Bulldogs. At the end of the second period, Hamilton led Milwaukee 21-16 in shots on goal.
Just 4:01 into the third period, Gabriel Dumont scored his seventh of the season from Schultz and Masse to give the Bulldogs a 4-1 lead. Mueller got his second goal of the night at 13:11 when he beat Hamilton goaltender Robert Mayer on the right side. At the end of the game, Hamilton lead Milwaukee 27 to 23 in shots, earning a 4-2 victory.
The Bulldogs will take to the ice at Ivor Wynne Stadium for their next game on Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at 1 p.m. when they face the Toronto Marlies for the 2012 AHL Outdoor Classic presented by Molson and Boston Pizza.
