BULLDOGS FOUNDATION TO HOST "IT’S COOL TO CARE"

HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs, in conjunction with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board, have announced today that the “It’s Cool to Care” program hosted by the Bulldogs Foundation will be held on Monday, February 11th at Copps Coliseum from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

This fun and informative program brings together the excitement of hockey with important messages about character building and taking a stand against bullying. Participating students in grades 4-6 will attend a midday program that includes Skills Competition events performed by the Hamilton Bulldogs, a brief presentation by a family counselor and author, interspersed with positive messaging by players about dealing with conflict; caring for others; courage in adversity; perseverance; and sportsmanship. The event wraps with a Red and White inter-squad game.

With over 40 schools participating in the event, there are expected to be over 4,000 children in attendance. The event, which is also available exclusively to the Bulldogs’ season ticket holders, is not open to the general public. All season ticket holders must enter Copps Coliseum through the media / security entrance located to the right of the box office on the Bay Street side of the arena. Season ticket holders MUST bring their season ticket holder identification cards to gain access to this event.

The defending Calder Cup Champion Hamilton Bulldogs return to action on Friday, February 8th at 7:30 p.m. when they host the San Antonio Rampage at Copps Coliseum.
