HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the delivery and distribution of 1,500 of the over 3,000 toys collected as part of the 15th Annual Stuffed Toy Toss event will take place on Monday, December 19th, 2011.
A portion of the collection has already been donated to Hamilton Police Services, the Salvation Army and the Eva Rothwell Centre at Robert Land. The remaining toys will be distributed by the United Way to associated organizations as well as to other agencies supported by the Bulldogs Foundation. The organizations will be able to pick up their stuffed toys on Monday, December 19th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Way parking lot at 177 Rebecca Street in Hamilton.
Bruiser and representatives from the Bulldogs Foundation will be on hand to help distribute the toys. Representatives from Neighbour to Neighbour, Interval House of Hamilton, the Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, and the Boys and Girls Club of Hamilton will be invited to collect toys between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Earlier on Monday, Bruiser will be visiting Bennetto Elementary School in Hamilton to distribute 300 toys to children from kindergarten to grade 3. Bennetto School is one of the participants in the ‘Dawgs Breakfast Program, which provides healthy and nutritious morning meals to students to help them focus on learning.
The Bulldogs' next game is Friday, December 16th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time against the Abbotsford Heat at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.
