Throughout this week-long camp, kids received training from professional hockey players like 'Dogs defenseman Alex Henry and forward Mike Glumac, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Steve Staois, and former Bulldogs Calder Cup Champion Jon Gleed. Also sharing his hockey expertise from his many years as a professional NHLer was former Hamilton Bulldogs coach Ron Wilson.
Kelly Reed, head instructor of the camp (with over fifteen years of instruction experience), dedicated his teachings to instill a balance of skills, sportsmanship, teamwork and respect into the young hockey players at the camp.
"I think this is a really good camp. You get lots of shots and it was great hockey instruction", said a young Jonathan Giordano, team member of the Hamilton Junior Bulldogs.
Before heading home each day, kids received autographed photos, pucks and sticks throughout the week. Edmonton Oilers veteran Steve Staios also took the time to make himself available to sign autographs for all of the young players at the camp.
The Hamilton Bulldogs would like to thank everyone who participated in the camp and hopes to see them again next year.
