HAMILTON, ONTARIO – Today, the Hamilton Bulldogs (11-10-0-3) head into their third game in three days with a chance to capture sole possession of first place in the American Hockey League’s North Division as they take on the division rival Lake Erie Monsters (12-9-0-1) at 3:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.

Today’s game marks the sixth of 10 meetings between the Bulldogs and Monsters this season. In their last meeting on Friday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, the Bulldogs fell 4-1 to the Monsters. So far this season, Hamilton holds a 2-2-0-1 record against Lake Erie. In eight games between the two clubs last season, ‘Dogs had a record of 3-4-0-1.

The Monsters have won their past two games, including Friday night’s tilt with the Bulldogs. They are 6-3-0-1 in their last 10 games.

The Bulldogs have alternated wins and losses over their past four games and have won six of their past 10. They won 2-1 last night against the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario, to create a three-way tie between Hamilton, Toronto and Lake Erie for first place in the North Division.

- There are six Ontario-born players on the Monsters roster: F Andrew Agozzino (Kleinburg), F Garrett Meurs (Ripley), F Joey Hishon (Stratford), F Mike Sgarbossa (Campbellville), F Mitchell Heard (Bowmanville) and D Daniel Maggio (Windsor).
- Monsters forward Paul Carey has points in four of his last five games.
- Forward Martin St. Pierre leads the ’Dogs in power play goals with five.
- Forwards Joonas Nattinen and Nick Tarnasky are the only ‘Dogs to play in all 24 games so far this season.
