Hamilton, Ontario – The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 at Copps Coliseum on Wednesday night.  Riku Helenius stopped 23 shots for the shutout and Dmitry Korobov scored the game-winner.  

After a scoreless first period, the Crunch led 7-6 in the shot column.  Syracuse opened the scoring at 6:01 of the second frame on a goal by Korobov who shot the puck from the left circle which deflected off a defender past Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Robert Mayer.  The Crunch doubled their lead at 15:40 of the second stanza on a goal by J.T. Wyman.  Matt Taormina shot the puck which bounced off the boards behind the net and came out in front to Wyman who tapped it past Mayer.

Richard Panik added the empty netter for the Crunch at 18:14 of the third period. Syracuse finished with 33 shots on goal while Hamilton finished with 23.

The Bulldogs’ next game is Friday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Syracuse Crunch at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.  The game will air on TVA Sports.  All ‘Dogs games during the month of November will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820), with select games simulcast on Montreal's TSN Radio 690 (AM 690).  Fans can also listen to and watch all 'Dogs games on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.  Live coverage with the broadcast team of Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills (all home and away games) and Colour Commentator Al Craig (all home and select away games) will begin with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
