MONTREAL, QC – Montreal Canadiens Executive Vice President and General Manager Marc Bergevin announced that 10 players including Raphael Diaz, Alexei Emelin and Lars Eller, as well seven who have played for the Hamilton Bulldogs, including P.K. Subban, Brendon Nash, Frederic St-Denis, Aaron Palushaj, Blake Geoffrion, Andreas Engqvist and Ryan White have received qualifying offers from the club. White also signed a one-year contract with the Canadiens.
White, 24, played 20 games for the Montreal Canadiens in 2011-2012 and registered three assists, 61 penalty minutes and 12 shots on goal. The six-foot, 193-pound right winger played four games for the Hamilton Bulldogs last season and recorded five points (four goals, one assists), 26 penalty minutes, 10 shots on goal and a +2 rating. In 179 regular season games over four seasons with the ‘Dogs, the Brandon, Manitoba native posted 80 points (35 goals, 45 assists) 344 penalty minutes and a +16 rating.
