San Antonio, Texas – The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the San Antonio Rampage 4-2 on Friday night at AT&T Center.  Nathan Beaulieu, Joey Tenute and Petteri Nokelainen each had two points while Robert Mayer stopped 36 shots, including a penalty shot, for the victory.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 4:43 of the opening frame on Nokelainen’s first goal as a ‘Dog.  Louis Leblanc took a shot and Nokelainen picked up the rebound and buried it by San Antonio Rampage starting goaltender Brian Foster.  Hamilton grabbed a 2-0 lead at 14:54 of the first period as Tenute won the draw back to Patrick Holland who snapped a shot by Foster.

The Rampage cut the lead to 2-1 at 0:49 of the second stanza as Greg Rallo took a shot and scored over the right shoulder of Mayer.  Colby Robak then notched a power-play tally for San Antonio at 3:53 of the second period as he took a wrister from the point which sailed over the shoulder of Mayer.

The ‘Dogs regained the lead at 11:40 of the second frame as Nathan Beaulieu dished a pass to Alex Belzile who tipped the bouncing puck past Foster.  With an assist on the play, Danny Kristo earned his first professional point in his first professional game.

The Bulldogs grabbed a 4-2 lead while shorthanded at 18:15 of the third stanza as Beaulieu took a shot which ricocheted off a body and off the blocker of Foster and trickled in.
