Cedar Park, Texas – The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Texas Stars 2-1 on Saturday night at Cedar Park Center.  Rookie Charles Hudon notched the game-winner, Patrick Holland picked up two points and Dustin Tokarski stopped 29 shots.

The opening frame ended up scoreless as Texas outshot Hamilton 9-5.

The Stars opened the scoring at 2:09 of the second period on a power-play goal by Travis Morin.  The puck was bouncing around in the crease and Morin picked it up and tapped it in past Tokarski.

The Bulldogs tied the score at 13:44 of the third stanza as Holland knocked in his own rebound past Texas Stars starting goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp.  The ‘Dogs took a 2-1 lead with only 24.5 seconds remaining in the third period as Hudon picked up a Holland rebound and put the puck behind Nilstorp.  Hudon, who is the youngest player currently playing in the American Hockey League, notched his first professional goal in his second professional game with that tally.  The Stars outshot the Bulldogs 30-22 to end the game.
