AEROS LAND BULLDOGS A 2-0 LOSS

Houston, Texas – The Houston Aeros defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-0 on Sunday night at Toyota Center.  Dan DaSilva scored the game-winner and Jeff Deslauriers stopped all 22 shots he faced for the shutout.

The Aeros opened the scoring at 8:41 of the opening frame on a goal by DaSilva.  Zack Phillips danced into the zone and took a shot which was stopped and DaSilva put in the rebound past Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Robert Mayer.  The Aeros outshot the Bulldogs 12-5 after 20 minutes of play. 

The second period was scoreless and after 40 minutes, the Aeros led the Bulldogs 22-10 in shots. 

Houston grabbed a 2-0 lead at 12:50 of the third stanza as Nick Peterson picked up the puck in front of the net and roofed it over the shoulder of Mayer.  The Aeros outshot the Bulldogs 29-22.

The Bulldogs’ next game is against the Lake Erie Monsters at Copps Coliseum on Friday, April 12th at 7:30 p.m.  The game will air on Cable 14.  All ‘Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).  Fans can also listen to and watch all 'Dogs games on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.  Live coverage with the broadcast team of Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills (all home and away games) and Colour Commentator Al Craig (all home and select away games) will begin with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
