HAMILTON, ONTARIO – The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club is looking for Hamilton’s best voices to audition to be the team’s anthem singer for the 2013-2014 season in a new social media contest starting today.

The contest, open to anyone aged eight and up, will consist of an online application form and a video submission via YouTube, then the best applicants will earn a live audition in front of a panel of judges.

“A lot of great talent is now discovered on YouTube, so we want to see the best Hamilton has to offer,” said Bulldogs President Stephen Ostaszewicz. “We’re looking for that special voice that will ‘wow’ and engage our home crowd before puck drop.”

The best candidates will have a powerful voice, conscious pronunciation, confidence in singing before large crowds and a strong command of traditional renditions of both the Canadian and American national anthems.

Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to visit http://hamiltonbulldogs.com/multimedia/anthemsingersearch/ for more information, including specific application details. Applications are due by August 30, 2013. Live auditions will be held at Copps Coliseum in September at a date to be determined.
