GAME PREVIEW: MARLIES @ BULLDOGS

HAMILTON, ONTARIO – The AHL’s Battle of Ontario resumes tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum as the Hamilton Bulldogs (4-2-0-2) host the Toronto Marlies (5-3-0-0) in the third of 12 scheduled meetings between the two clubs this season.

The Bulldogs will be searching for their first victory over the Marlies this season, as Hamilton fell 2-1 and 3-2 in the first two meetings. The Marlies remain the only team to beat the Bulldogs in regulation this season.

The Bulldogs have earned points in six of their first eight games and currently sit tied with the Marlies for first place in the American Hockey League’s North Division. All eight of Hamilton’s games this season have been decided by one goal.

In 12 meetings last season, Hamilton was 5-5-1-1 against Toronto.

- Hamilton goaltenders Robert Mayer and Dustin Tokarski have almost identical stats this season (Mayer: 2.46 GAA, .919 sv. %; Tokarski: 2.45 GAA, .918 sv. %)
- Bulldogs forward Patrick Holland is expected to return to the lineup after a five-game stint with the Montreal Canadiens
