GAME PREVIEW: COMETS @ BULLDOGS

HAMILTON, ONTARIO – The Hamilton Bulldogs (5-4-0-3) look to end a three-game losing streak today as they play host to new division rivals, the Utica Comets (1-8-1-1) today at 3:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum in the second of four meetings between the two teams this season. The ‘Dogs took the first meeting of the season 3-2 on October 26th in Utica.

The Bulldogs are currently on a three-game losing streak, which includes a 3-2 shootout loss to the Abbotsford Heat last Saturday, a 5-3 loss to the Rochester Americans on Wednesday and a 6-1 defeat to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday. While Utica sits in last place in the league, the club earned its first victory of the season Friday night, 3-2 over the Lake Erie Monsters.

Hamilton currently sits tied for seventh place in the Western Conference and tied for first place in the North Division, while Utica currently sits in 15th in the Western Conference and fifth place in the North Division.

- There are currently seven Ontario natives listed on the Griffins roster: F Alex Friesen (St. Catharines), F Kelsey Wilson (Sault Ste. Marie), F Kellan Lain (Oakville), F Brandon DeFazio (Etobicoke), F Brayden Irwin (Toronto), D Frank Corrado (Woodbridge), D Kent Huskins (Almonte).
- Veteran NHL forward David Booth is currently playing for Utica on a conditioning assignment.
- Bulldogs leading scorer Sven Andrighetto currently sits tied for 13th in AHL rookie scoring with nine points. He has also had an even or plus rating in each of the `Dogs 12 games this season.
- Seven of Magnus Nygren’s eight points this season have come on the power play.
