SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – The Hamilton Bulldogs (8-7-0-3) will be looking for a season-high fourth consecutive victory tonight when they visit the Syracuse Crunch (9-5-1-1) in the back half of a home-and-home series  at War Memorial Arena at The Oncenter at 7:00 p.m.

Tonight’s game will be the second of four meetings between the Bulldogs and Crunch this season. Hamilton dropped Syracuse last night 4-1 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, powered by a three-point performance by forward Mike Blunden and another rock-solid outing by goaltender Dustin Tokarski. The Bulldogs have an all-time record of 49-42-11-4-2 against the Crunch and went 1-3-0-0 last season versus Syracuse.

With last night’s loss to the ‘Dogs, the Crunch has now dropped its past three games, but has still earned points in seven of its last 10. Syracuse has been one of the better road teams in the American Hockey League this season with a record of 6-2-1-0.

The Bulldogs have followed up a recent season-long, six-game losing streak by rattling off wins in the past three games, including the past two (a 5-1 win over the Texas Stars and a 4-1 win over Syracuse) in convincing fashion. With last night’s win over Syracuse, the ‘Dogs moved into a three-way tie for first in the American Hockey League’s North Division with the Toronto Marlies and Lake Erie Monsters.
