HAMILTON, ONTARIO –The Hamilton Bulldogs (12-11-0-3) will look to rebound from a 4-1 defeat last night at the hands of the Toronto Marlies as the St. John’s IceCaps roll into Copps Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. start.
Tonight’s game marks the second of four match ups between the Bulldogs and IceCaps this season, as well as the final stop at Copps Coliseum for the Newfoundland club in 2013-2014. In the first meeting this season, Hamilton dropped St. John’s 3-2 in the ‘Dogs home and season opener on October 11th.
The Bulldogs and IceCaps are historically tight matched. Hamilton went 4-4-0-0 last season against St. John’s and holds a 9-8-0-0 all-time record against the IceCaps.
In last night’s 4-1 home loss against the Marlies, Bulldogs forward Louis Leblanc scored Hamilton’s only goal, while Robert Mayer made 20 saves in net. The ‘Dogs are 6-4-0-0 in their past 10 games.
St. John’s rolls into Hamilton coming off back-to-back wins against the Syracuse Crunch. The IceCaps are 7-3-0-0 in their past 10 games.
