DES MOINES, IOWA – The Hamilton Bulldogs (12-13-0-3) will look to snap a three-game losing skid tonight at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, as they take on the Iowa Wild (10-13-2-0) for the first time.

The Bulldogs have managed just three goals in their past three games, including a 4-1 loss at home against the Toronto Marlies a week ago today, a 3-0 shutout loss at home to the St. John’s IceCaps last Saturday and a 5-2 defeat to the Chicago Wolves on the road on Wednesday. Despite the recent losing streak, the ‘Dogs remain just three points out of first place in the American Hockey League’s North Division.

While the Wild currently sits in last place in the Midwest Division and 14th in the Western Conference, the club has found recent success. Iowa has earned points in each of its last three contests, which included two wins against top Western Conference teams – the Abbotsford Heat and Rockford IceHogs.

Quick Notes
- There are currently three Ontario-born players on the Wild roster: F Tyler Graovac (Brampton), F Marc Hagel (Hamilton) and D Tyler Cuma (Bowmanville).
- The Wild’s active roster is lead in scoring by two defencemen: Brian Connelly (23 GP 1-14-15) and Jonathon Blum (25 GP 3-11-14).
- Iowa forward Marc Hagel is a Hamilton native and the brother of 2012-2013 Bulldog, Kyle Hagel.
- Bulldogs defenceman Morgan Ellis was credited with his third goal of the season on Wednesday when, on a Bulldogs’ delayed penalty, the puck deflected off a Chicago Wolves player’s skate and slid the length of the ice into an empty Chicago net.
- Hamilton forwards Sven Andrighetto, Justin Courtnall and Christian Thomas all returned to the lineup on Wednesday after missing several games due to injury.
- Bulldogs goaltender Mike Condon made his first appearance as a ‘Dog on Wednesday, making eight saves on eight shots in the third period in relief of Dustin Tokarski.
