GAME PREVIEW: WOLVES @ BULLDOGS

HAMILTON, ONTARIO – The Hamilton Bulldogs (20-17-0-4) will look to build upon an impressive 6-2 win last night against the Lake Erie Monsters when they host the Chicago Wolves (22-15-2-2) today at 4:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.

Today’s game is the second and final match up between the Bulldogs and Wolves this season, as well as the only regular season game between these two clubs at Copps Coliseum. In the first meeting with the Wolves this season at Allstate Arena in Chicago, the Bulldogs fell 5-2. The ‘Dogs went 0-2-0-0 against the Wolves last season.

This game is the third contest in Hamilton’s latest three-games-in-three-days weekend. They lost 2-0 on Friday night at home to the Toronto Marlies, then trounced the Lake Erie Monsters 6-2 last night in Cleveland. The Bulldogs are 7-3-0-0 in their past 10 games.

The Wolves are in the midst of a five-game road trip. So far on this trip, they lost 2-1 in Utica on Tuesday and won 2-1 in Toronto last night. The Wolves are 6-3-1-0 in their past 10 games.

- There are currently five Ontario-born players on the Wolves roster: F Chris Porter (Thunder Bay), F Mark Mancari (London), F Nathan Longpre (Peterborough), D Taylor Chorney (Thunder Bay) and D Mark Cundari (Toronto).
- Wolves goaltender Jake Allen is fourth in the American Hockey League in goals-against average (2.10), tied for seventh in save percentage (.925) and tied for third in wins (17).
- Bulldogs goaltender Dustin Tokarski is third in the AHL in goals-against average (2.09) and fourth in save percentage (.928).
- The ‘Dogs tied their season high for goals in a game last night with six. They’ve achieved that feat twice this season, both times against Lake Erie.
