GAME PREVIEW: BULLDOGS @ ICEHOGS

ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS – The Hamilton Bulldogs (20-20-0-4) are in Rockford, Illinois today to take on the Rockford IceHogs (21-21-4-2) as they look to end a three-game losing streak at 8:00 p.m. at BMO Harris Bank Center.

Tonight’s game will be the second and final contest between the Bulldogs and IceHogs this season, as well as the only game in Rockford. In the first meeting between these two clubs this year back on October 22nd, the ‘Dogs edged the ‘Hogs 5-4 in overtime in Hamilton. The Bulldogs have never lost in regulation to the IceHogs, holding a 9-0-1-1 record all-time.

Hamilton’s coming off back-to-back losses this past weekend against the Abbotsford Heat in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The ‘Dogs are currently in the midst of a six-game road trip.

Rockford has won three of its past four contests, including its most recent game this past Saturday, 2-1 over the Utica Comets in Utica, New York.

Quick Notes
- There are currently two Ontario-born players on the IceHogs roster: F Brandon Mashinter (Bradford) and D Theo Peckham (Richmond Hill).
- Rockford leading scorer Adam Clendening currently sits fourth in the American Hockey League in defenceman scoring with 33 points (six goals, 27 assists).
- The IceHogs are ranked last in the AHL in penalty killing efficiency at 75 per cent.
- Hamilton forward Christian Thomas is expected to return to the lineup after a two-game call up with the Montreal Canadiens this past weekend.
- Bulldogs captain Martin St. Pierre will return to Rockford for the first time since last season when he was captain of the IceHogs.
- The ‘Dogs are 2-0-0-0 in Tuesday games so far this season.
