ROCHESTER, NEW YORK – The Hamilton Bulldogs (22-24-1-4) will look to put an end to a three-game losing skid with a third straight road win when they take on the Rochester Americans (26-18-3-4) at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday’s game marks the seventh time the Bulldogs have faced the Americans this season, including their fourth and final visit to Blue Cross Arena in 2013-2014. In the first six meetings between these teams so far this season, the ‘Dogs hold a record of 2-4-0-0.  In their last match up on January 11th, Rochester topped Hamilton 3-1.

The Amerks have earned points in each of their past three games, winning two of them. On Friday night, they fell 3-2 in a shootout to the San Antonio Rampage at home. Rochester is 6-3-0-1 in its past 10 contests.

The ‘Dogs have lost three straight games, all at home, to extend their home losing streak to a season-worst six games. However, Hamilton has been a different team on the road this season, with an away record of 12-10-0-1 compared to a home record of 10-14-1-3. The Bulldogs fell 4-1 on Friday night to the Binghamton Senators in a home game played at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. Hamilton is 2-7-0-1 in its past 10 matches.

- There are currently seven Ontario-born players on the Americans roster: F Mike Zigomanis (Toronto), F Phil Varone (Vaughan), F Dan Catenacci (Newmarket), F Brayden Irwin (Toronto), F Jamie Tardif (Welland), D Nick Crawford (Caledon) and G Matt Hackett (London).
- Despite playing in just 37 games this season, Amerks forward Luke Adam sits tied for seventh in the American Hockey League in goals with 21.
- Rochester goaltender Nathan Lieuwen is tied for ninth in the AHL in save percentage at .920.
- ‘Dogs forward Nick Tarnasky hit 100 penalty minutes on the season on Friday night against the Binghamton Senators with a fight against forward Darren Kramer.
- Hamilton defenceman Morgan Ellis returned to the lineup on Friday night after missing the previous eight games with an upper body injury.
- Carrying leads over from period-to-period has proven key to the Bulldogs success this season. When leading after one period, the ‘Dogs hold a record of 12-2-1-2. When Hamilton leads after two periods, the club has a record of 14-0-0-1.
