TORONTO, ONTARIO – Hamilton Bulldogs forward Mike Blunden potted two goals and set up another to lead a potent ‘Dogs (25-25-1-4) offence to a 5-2 win over the Toronto Marlies (32-18-2-2) on Saturday afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario.
Bulldogs forward Gabriel Dumont opened the scoring at 6:34 of the first period with his team co-leading 14th goal of the season. Blunden rounded the back of the net and fed Dumont in front for the goal. Forward Louis Leblanc drew a second assist on the sequence.
Marlies defenceman Stuart Percy tied the game 1-1 with just over three minutes to go in the opening frame when his point shot was inadvertently deflected by Dumont past Bulldogs goaltender Robert Mayer. Defenceman Petter Granberg and forward Jerred Smithson earned assists.

Less than three minutes later, Toronto forward Jerry D’Amigo was credited with a goal that trickled past Mayer to cut Hamilton’s lead to 3-2, with assists from Granberg and Percy.
