MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have traded forward Louis Leblanc to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a conditional 2015 fifth-round draft pick.

“After three seasons with the Canadiens organization we felt that moving forward the best option for Louis and our organization was to give him the opportunity to pursue his career with another team,” said Bergevin. “Throughout his entire stay with our organization Louis showed great professionalism and a constant desire to improve. We thank him for his contribution and wish him success for the continuation of his career.”

In 163 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, Leblanc recorded 68 points (34 goals, 34 assists) and 146 penalty minutes. In 50 career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens, the Pointe-Claire, Quebec native recorded 10 points (five goals, five assists) and 32 penalty minutes.

Leblanc was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (18th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
