HAMILTON, ONTARIO – The Bulldogs Foundation is pleased to announce today that the second annual Bulldogs Foundation Walk-A-Thon, held at Pier 4 Park in Hamilton on Sunday, June 22nd and presented by FirstOntario Credit Union, raised $12,000 for the Dawgs Breakfast Program.
The funds raised at the second annual event will go to 17 high-needs Hamilton schools so students can start the day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast.
The Bulldogs Foundation would like to thank all the participants who came out on Sunday for the walk as well as corporate sponsors FirstOntario Credit Union, Maple Lodge Farms, PepsiCo, Tim Hortons, Global Spectrum, Corus Entertainment, Molson Coors Canada, Hamilton Spectator, SB Partners, Burgeonvest Bick Securities Limited, New Horizon Homes and Solaris Dental Solutions for the tremendous support leading up to and during the event.
Established in 2007, the mission of the Bulldogs Foundation is to enrich the lives of children and youth in the Greater Hamilton Area through cash donations, gifts in kind and the assignment of tickets. By doing so, the Foundation aims to promote the creativity of interactive programs involving education, physical fitness and personal well-being. The main purpose of the Foundation is to strengthen and broaden the base of the Hamilton Bulldogs community support by providing funds to non-profit community groups and by supporting educational and community programs.
